Judas - Chapter 1The sun was setting as Ellen Harding walking quickly home with a basket full of sewing. She had been at her mothers seamstress shop, taking care of it while her mother took care of her youngest daughter, Sarah, who had fallen ill. Her heeled boots clacked loudly on the cobble stones as she walked, echoing along the near deserted London street. By this time of day, most people had returned to their homes for supper. | Art and literature and music have always been a huge part of my life, I’m more of a self-taught artist than a writer but I try to work on both. I started drawing when I was younger and my eye sight was deteriorating with keratoconus, it got to the point where all I could see was the page 5cm in front of me. For several years all I could do was draw from other books and what I could picture in my head from stories. Now that my sight is fixed I want to expand my knowledge and skills as much possible. At the moment I am better at mimicking art than creating my own, but I wish to achieve my own style some day. My focus is on fantasy sketches, the numerous dragon drawings on my walls will prove that. My current goal is to learn how to paint and to get my own ideas out of my head and onto paper, which is harder than I thought. At the moment I am studying at university, doing a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Wildlife. I would love to be able to memorise and sketch a large proportion on the animal kingdom. Hopefully soon you will see some of my work come up here, the ones I create myself and not from others. I have several story ideas I’m trying to get down onto paper, I’ll work on that and post them as I go. I’m excited! |
